Glow Driving School – Terms & Conditions
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all driving tuition provided by Glow Driving School.
By booking or attending a driving lesson, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Glow Driving School is committed to providing professional, safe, and structured driver training in line with guidance from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and follows the principles outlined in the ADI Code of Practice.
1. Driving Licence Requirements
Before starting driving lessons with Glow Driving School, pupils must:

Hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence.

Be legally entitled to drive in the UK.

Provide proof of their licence if requested.
It is the pupil’s responsibility to ensure their driving licence remains valid and up to date.
Lessons may be refused if the required licence cannot be produced.
2. Lesson Bookings
Driving lessons must be booked in advance with your instructor.
Lesson details, including:

Date and time
-
Pick-up location
-
Lesson duration
will be agreed between the pupil and instructor at the time of booking.
Glow Driving School may provide:

Individual driving lessons
-
Block booking packages
-
Refresher driving lessons
-
Driving test preparation lessons
All bookings are subject to instructor availability.
3. Payment Terms
Payment for driving lessons must be made before or at the beginning of the lesson unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed.
Accepted payment methods may include:

Bank transfer
-
Cash
-
Other agreed payment methods
Lesson prices may change periodically. However, prepaid lessons will remain valid at the original purchase price.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Glow Driving School requires at least 48 hours’ notice for lesson cancellations or rescheduling requests.
If less than 48 hours’ notice is provided:

The full lesson fee may be charged.

Missed lessons without notice may also be charged in full.
All cancellations must be communicated directly to the instructor via phone, message, or another agreed communication method.
5. Instructor Cancellations
In some circumstances, an instructor may need to cancel a lesson due to:

Illness
-
Vehicle problems
-
Unforeseen circumstances
Where this happens, Glow Driving School will:
-
Rearrange the lesson at a suitable time, or
-
Apply the lesson credit towards a future booking.
The school will always aim to provide as much notice as possible.
6. Pupil and Instructor Lateness
If the pupil is late:

The lesson will normally finish at the agreed end time.
-
The full lesson fee may still apply.
If the instructor is late:
-
The lost time will normally be added to the lesson where possible.

Alternatively, credit may be provided towards a future lesson.
7. Fitness to Drive
Pupils must be fit and able to drive safely before attending lessons.
A lesson may be refused or stopped if a pupil:
-
Appears under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
-
Is medically unfit to drive.
-
Cannot follow safety instructions.
-
Creates an unsafe driving environment.
In such circumstances, the lesson fee may still apply.
8. Block Bookings
Glow Driving School may offer discounted block lesson packages.
Block booking conditions may include:

Lessons must be completed within a reasonable timeframe.
-
Lessons cannot be transferred without instructor approval.
-
Refunds for unused lessons will usually be calculated using the standard lesson rate rather than the discounted block price.
9. Driving Test Vehicle Use
Use of the instructor’s vehicle for a practical driving test is subject to instructor approval.
The instructor may refuse vehicle use if they believe the pupil:

Is not ready for the test.

May present a safety risk.
-
Is unlikely to meet the required driving standard.
Driving test bookings usually include:

A pre-test lesson.
-
Use of the instructor’s vehicle during the test.
10. Insurance
Glow Driving School vehicles are fully insured for approved driving tuition.
Insurance coverage applies only during official lessons conducted with the instructor.
Pupils must follow all safety instructions provided by the instructor while operating the vehicle.
11. Conduct and Safety
Glow Driving School aims to provide a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment.
The instructor reserves the right to end a lesson if a pupil behaves in a way that is:

Unsafe

Abusive
-
Aggressive
-
Disruptive
In these circumstances, the lesson fee may still be charged.
12. DVSA Professional Standards
Glow Driving School instructors follow professional standards consistent with DVSA guidance and the ADI Code of Practice.
This includes maintaining:

Professional conduct
-
Respectful treatment of pupils
-
High-quality driving instruction
-
Commitment to road safety and responsibility
13. Liability
Glow Driving School cannot be held responsible for circumstances outside the instructor’s control, including:

DVSA driving test cancellations.
-
Traffic delays.
-
Road closures.
-
Severe weather conditions.
-
Unexpected events affecting lesson availability.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights under UK law.
14. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Glow Driving School reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions when required.
The latest version of these Terms and Conditions will apply to all new bookings and future lessons.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By booking and attending driving lessons with Glow Driving School, you confirm that you:
